In 1983, a documentary crew followed a group of children who dreamed of being rock stars. Twenty-five years later the
crew return to find life has not turned out how they expected. The death of the former ‘Frontman’ reunites the now estranged friends.

This funny and entertaining mockumentary film will have you tapping your toes to some amazing music while laughing at the pitfalls and the development of the characters lives that unfold throughout the story.

A1 Pictures Releases Latest David Prowse Film – The Kindness of Strangers

The Latest Release from A1 Pictures is the British independent feature film, ‘The Kindness of Strangers’. The film Stars David Prowse and Tabatha williams.  This ambitious low budget film picked up four awards, including BEST DIRECTOR at the International Filmmakers Festival of World Cinema. Deborah Hadfield received Best Director, Tabatha Williams won best actress, Dave Prowse was awarded best supporting actor and lifetime achievement award.

The Kindness of Strangers follows Alistair Bryan who is racing across Europe searching for his best friend Danny who is accused of killing his sister Christina. His quest for the truth becomes urgent when he discovers Danny is travelling with another girl, Grace. Can Alistair save Grace or will it cost him his life too?

A gripping independent feature keeps you on the edge of your seat with a story that twists and turns right up to the final shot. Starring the emerging talents of Christopher Hatherall and AJ Nicol, this is a raw British Independent feature that throws you in at the deep end.

The Kindness of Strangers was produced by Queen Bee Films and was written and directed by Deborah Hadfield.  It is scheduled for released latter this year.

The Point of Regret tells the story of Ryan, an under achieving reporter who’s about to be given the story of his life.
All he has to do is keep his source alive, while helping him die and not get killed himself. It could destroy his career, his family, his life.

Capture Volume 2 Preview: Lap

Written and Directed by Meloni Poole, Lap is a story of ‘boy meets girl’. In the rain at the bus stop night Alan and Lulu get to know each other and are slowly drawn to each other. Will Lulu’s job stop them from falling in love?

Meloni is no stranger to the world of short film having written and directed the 2001 short “Dish”.

Capture Volume 2 Preview: Icicle Melt

Amy Neil delivers a hauntingly beautiful film in Icicle Melt in which we watch a couple dance and play in the snow neither realising that they won’t be together in the morning.

Following her success with her previous short films Can’t Stop Breathing (2004), Ma Boy (2006) as well as Icicle Melt, Amy has gone on to direct episodes of the successful Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and she is currently directing an as yet untitled feature film with Warp Films.

Icicle Melt has been honored as the Winner of the Grand Prix at the Tabor Film Festival, as well as receaving screenings at The London International Film Festival and becoming a finalist in the TCM Short Film Award (2006).

Capture Volume 2 Preview: Bye Child

Bye-Child,written and directed by Bernard MacLaverty is based on the poem of the same name by Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney, which can be read HERE. When a ten year old boy plays hide-and-seek with friends, he finds something that leads him to a terrible truth: no matter what progress mankind makes, many are forced to travel lunar distances beyond love.
