Submission Policy

Welcome to the A1 Pictures Submission Policy for shorts and feature films.

A1 Pictures has an open policy on unsolicited feature films.  We have certain months when we accept unsolicited short films.  The months are March, June, September and December.  Any film sent with a post stamp or e-mail date on any other month will be destroyed.

Films can only be accepted by DVD screener or online, however we do recommend that a screener be sent to ensure the highest viewing quality.  Every film must be accompanied by a synopsis and suggested genre, the name of the rights holder as well as the country of origin and any and all festival official selections, nominations and awards.

Films must be narrative driven, have good quality sound and good performances by its cast.  If these criteria are not met we will reject the film; no matter how good the story.

All films must have at least one filmmaker or performer willing to do a commentary, any film accompanied by making off, video diaries or other forms of extra content will have a higher chance of being released.

Feature films have a better chance of being released if BBFC classified; we are willing to cover the cost on a case by case basis.

All feature films must be accompanied with a press pack and other promotional materials including high quality publicity shots (the more the better).

To arrange a submission or you have any questions please get in touch with the details provided on the Contact Us Page.
